The Accession of HM King Charles III

Official Statement by Talal Malik, CEO of Alpha1Corp, on the Accession Council’s Proclamation of HM King Charles III, 10 September 2022

“I would like to, once again, offer my deepest condolences to His Majesty The King, the Royal Family and all those in mourning around the world on the passing away of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. To God We Belong and To Him We Return.

Today, the UK’s Accession Council has met to make formal proclamation of the accession of HM King Charles III to the British throne. To mark this historic moment, I would like to make the following statement.

My great admiration of HM King Charles III for the man, the institution he belongs to and the role he has played, has been with me at every stage of my life.

Two years after my birth at Lindo Wing in St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, HRH William, Prince of Wales, His Majesty’s heir apparent, was born in the very same room as me.

I then attended Hill House School in London and Montreux, the same school as His Majesty who was the first heir to the British throne to be educated outside the Royal Palace in a millennium, as we both shared the experience of starting each day singing ‘Jerusalem’.

At my secondary school, Queen Elizabeth’s School in Hertfordshire, established by HM Queen Elizabeth in 1573, I was a regular patron and contributor to His Majesty’s youth charity, The Prince’s Trust, for example, attending as a guest at the Royal Premiere of ‘Looking for Richard’, Hollywood icon Al Pacino’s directorial debut, on January 30, 1997, also attended in person by His Majesty.

As a university student at Pembroke College, Oxford, founded in 1624, I was a regular attendee at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, patronised by His Majesty.

As a film producer with Alpha1Media, I was a guest at the 50th Anniversary World Royal Film Premiere of the James Bond film, ‘Skyfall’ on October 23, 2012, also attended by His Majesty.

As a strategic adviser at Alpha1Strategy, my 2016 article praising the historic governmental counsel of His Majesty was officially received and welcomed by the Royal Household.

In more recent years and currently, it has been a pleasure to work with current and former members of His Majesty’s Household on special global initiatives under Alpha1Corp to make the world a genuinely better place.

As such, I trust that His Majesty’s wisdom, foresight and experience can be of great value first to the UK, and then to the world.

With 4 British Prime Ministers in the last 6 years, and with an urgent need for greater socio-economic justice in the UK, I reiterate and expand my counsel from 2016 for a more Executive Role of the British Monarch in everyday political life, as per the Royal Prerogative, and in particular, as the UK may face its worst winter of discontent since 1979.

The world, as always, is at a critical juncture and His Majesty has visited many countries and built relationships over a lifetime which are going to be valuable for the UK and globally. Whilst traditional relationships with the Commonwealth, EU and the US require greater fortification, the main G20 member I believe which has the greatest potential for a more fortified strategic relationship is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under Vision 2030 and beyond.

In recognising that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosts the direction of my daily prayers to Makkah and leads OPEC, whilst the United Kingdom is not only my birthplace, but  that the burial place of my father is also in England’s green and pleasant land, I look forward to continuing to contribute to make the world a better placein my future work, so help me God.

Long Live The King, God Save The King.”
